Middle Branch

The Middle Branch neighborhoods, composed of Cherry Hill and Lakeland, are graced with picturesque views of Downtown Baltimore and the Baltimore Harbor. Located in Southern Baltimore, the Middle Branch community lives close to I-95 and two of the city’s major sport venues, M&T Stadium and Camden Yards. Residents enjoy the charming sights of visiting cruise ships in addition to having a variety of aquatic activities from the comfort of the Middle Branch Park.

For much of Baltimore’s history, Middle Branch was isolated from the rest of the city. In the mid-1800’s, the neighborhoods attracted a variety of homeowners and amusement parks due to the area’s suburban nature. Lakeland saw a dramatic increase in the construction of homes in the early 1900’s, while Cherry Hill experienced this phenomenon after the return of the World War II veterans. The area now offers multiple housing types for potential homeowners, including rowhomes, single-family detached homes, and apartments.

Middle Branch’s diverse neighborhoods are comprised of close-knit homeowners who feel a resound pride for their communities. This affordable area offers access to shopping, green spaces, and a variety of religious institutions. Sitting in the advantageous spot just across the harbor, the neighboring Baltimore Peninsula constantly brings new energy and businesses into the neighborhoods. Above all, Middle Branch is a community who values consistency and is rich with opportunity.
